Saturday BBQ at Betty's. A make-shift grill which produces sublime lamb, sourced from their own farm. I have never had better BBQ-ed lamb in my life. Simply served with local beans cured with spices from the Provence.

Fantastic place in the middle of nowhere (Departement of Gers, Midi-Pyrénées). Most of the products are from their own farm, excllent taste and even better value for money.

New bistro in a historic (1455) building. Solid Italian influenced food and deep Austrian wine list.

- Gerhard Huber added a new meal Lunch at Hippocampus at Hippocampus
Classic Italian in Munich, old fashioned comfort food with great ingredient. When we finished the lunch, a supplier with porcini mushrooms arrived, so we persuaded the Chef to cook for us the Gambara tapa, porcini with egg yolk.

Old fashioned, traditional kaiseki restaurant. Fantastic ingredients, perfect execution and unparalleled hospitality. (They got a waitress for me who could speak English even though there were only 5 guests).

His nigiri have plenty of air in them and are maybe not as precisely cut but they taste is very good as the combination with the shari is perfect.
I do hope that Morita-san will stay healthy and fit, so we can enjoy his sushi for many more years. Less

- Gerhard Huber added a new meal Dinner at はっこく at Hakkoku
New sushi restaurant in the middle of Tokyo. Three counters and unique for Japan, quite a few foreigners work there.
Sato-san is well know for his tuna sushi which is excellent. The shari is less acidic as in other places but it worked well with the selection of fishes.
Great sushi place.
