Throughout a year I eat a vast amount of tasting menus, hence also desserts and I have to be honest: While many of them are great, very few leave a mark. The dessert kitchen is difficult. The various textures have to come together perfectly and the balance between sweet and sour has to be perfect. But even if that is the case, there might still be something missing: The savoury part. Still the best smoked salmon I’ve eaten to date. The top portion is not automatically served, so don’t forget to ask for a piece. It tastes like incredible salmon jerky! 👏

Today is a sad day for Danish gastronomy. The company behind @restaurantkadeau is no longer able to continue its work - the restaurant group has declared itself bankrupt.
May these magnificent people behind Kadeau soon be able to make a comeback! I send them my best wishes in this hard time.

This was my 40th birthday dinner my wife gave me. I was familiar with the restaurant, but not in depth. So it was actually a bit of a surprise to eat here.
I had at this point eaten at two – two star Michelin restaurant. A watered down version of AOC and the awkward Bibidum dinner (alone in the restaurant), so at that point of going into the restaurant I had not really, eaten at high level restaurant.
