Os turcos levam a gastronomia muito a sério, especialmente os pratos mais tradicionais, sejam eles pratos do império otomano ou a humilde comida de rua. E quando se trata desta última, poucos pratos são tão apreciados e avaliados quanto o döner kebap. Perguntem a qualquer pessoa próxima do Grand Bazzar , sobre quem faz o melhor döner e esta será a única resposta que irão receber: 'Şahin Usta, obviamente !'. Incrível , especialmente por volta das 11h para os primeiros cortes!

Turks take their food very seriously, specially their most traditional dishes from expensive ones to street food. And when it comes to street food, few dishes are sampled and assessed as widely as the humble döner kebap. Dönerci Şahin Usta, open since 1969, is literally a hole in the wall with a size of just 4 square meters. Located steps from the entrance of the Grand Bazaar, there’s usually a line around the block consisting mostly of locals waiting to get their hands on some of the city’s best doner. Overall, it’s simplicity at its finest - fluffy pita bread, thin shavings of juicy meat, tomatoes, onions and parsley. Downright delicious and easily one of the tastiest bites we’ve had in Turkey! 🥙

Surely one of the most famous Döner shops in Istanbul. Most likely also one of the best.
The Döner is made out of lamb and Beef so the fatness of the lamb is cut by the beef.
Great snack in between unless you asked for double Döner portion, then it becomes a meal.
