This lunch was undoubtedly an excellent starting point—a “teaser” for what the omakase menu promises. To make a fair assessment, it’s in the full menu where Tiago fully showcases the fusion between Japanese tradition and his unique vision. However, even with the shorter menu, Kappo is worth every moment for the excellence of its fish and attention to detail, despite minor areas for improvement. 🇬🇧The fusion of Indian and Mexican cuisines might sound unexpected. Still, at Ms. Maria & Mr. Singh, everything falls perfectly into place, especially when paired with the playful love story between the two. With plenty of humor and a generous dose of storytelling, the concept truly comes to life.
The laid-back atmosphere, with an open kitchen and the vibrant energy of the team, is complemented by an infectious soundtrack and a carefully curated wine selection by @wine.bully1789 . The space exudes creativity and good vibes, reflecting the irreverent style of @gaggan_anand .
We tasted almost the entire menu, and even though each dish leaned more towards one of the two cultures, the balance of flavors throughout the meal was remarkable. From the scallop ceviche to the pork vindaloo tacos, the grilled fish with mojo rojo and paturi masala, and of course, the classic tikka masala, every dish offered surprising layers of flavor.
The experience at Ms. Maria & Mr. Singh goes far beyond a simple introduction to Gaggan’s world — this restaurant stands out on its own, becoming one of the most fun and flavorful meals we’ve had in Bangkok.
