“Ministry of Crab” is a renowned restaurant located in Colombo in Sri Lanka, founded by celebrity chef @dharshanmunidasa and cricketers @sangalefthander and mahela27🏏 It consistently ranks in Asia’s Top 100 list for @theworlds50best awards, and has now expanded globally with branches in Mumbai, Bangkok, Shanghai, Chengdu, and Maldives🌏
As their name suggests, they are most acclaimed for their mud crab dishes - guests can select the size of crab (1/2 Kilo, Small, Medium, Large, XL, Kilo Crab, Jumbo, Colossal, OMG and Crabzilla) and sauce (Pepper, Garlic Chilli, Chilli, Butter, Sri Lankan Curry)🌟 We opted for two “Jumbo” crabs (Pepper and Garlic Chilli) with a side of garlic rice🍚

O que nos foi servido cumpriu com exatidão os “mandamentos” que Dharshan desenhou quando criou o restaurante - produtos de qualidade ímpar, fresquíssimos e cozinhados no momento, de forma a mostrar o melhor que o Sri Lanka tem para oferecer.
Surpreendente, a “manteiga” de caranguejo feita com o interior do mesmo e completada com umas gotas de xarope de açúcar de palma. O camarão... More

O que nos foi servido cumpriu com exatidão os “mandamentos” que Dharshan desenhou quando criou o restaurante - produtos de qualidade ímpar, fresquíssimos e cozinhados no momento, de forma a mostrar o melhor que o Sri Lanka tem para oferecer.
Surpreendente, a “manteiga” de caranguejo feita com o interior do mesmo e completada com umas gotas de xarope de açúcar de palma. O camarão dos lagos do Sri Lanka (Freshwater Prawn), é o alimento indicado para transformar qualquer um num glutão, pecaminoso. Um delicioso e raro tipo de camarão que pode atingir os 500g e que aqui optamos por vê-lo servido com molho de alho e malagueta.
A estrela do almoço, não podia deixar de ser, o caranguejo, servido no molho mais famoso do restaurante - pimenta preta. Rico, delicado, pujante e irresistível.
Ainda houve espaço para umas ostras locais servidas com lima, picante e soja envelhecida para começar e claro, mas não óbvio, um creme brûlée de coco a finalizar com combinação de diferentes latitudes.
Tudo delicioso, do primeiro ao último momento.

Regarding the food, we couldn't have left @ministryofcrab happier.
What was served to us exactly fulfilled the "commandments" that Dharshan designed when he created the restaurant - products of unique quality, very fresh and cooked at the moment, to showcase the best Sri Lanka has to offer.
Outstanding, the crab "butter", made from the inside of the crab and topped with a few drops of palm sugar syrup. Freshwater Prawns are the right food to turn anyone into a sinful glutton. A delicious and rare type of shrimp that can weigh up to 500g and which we choose to see here served with garlic chili sauce.
The star of lunch was the crab, served in the restaurant's most famous sauce - black pepper. Rich, delicate, powerful, and irresistible.
There was still room for some local oysters served with lime, spicy, and aged soy to start and, of course, but not blatant, a coconut creme brûlée to finish with a combination of different latitudes.
