I get asked a lot about where to eat in Bangkok and you might be surprised that at the top of my recommendation list of places to eat in Thailand’s capital is a modern German restaurant. But @restaurant_suhring is my No 1 recommendation. I’ve been eating @thomas_suhring and @mathias_suhring ‘s food since they were cooking at Mezzaluna and was thrilled when they finally got their own place. With their unique take on the food they grew up eating and the meticulous,... More

. You may have noticed that I quite like @restaurant_suhring . I was trying to work out how long I have been eating Thomas & @mathias_suhring ‘s food and I think it’s about 10 years now since they were cooking at Mezzaluna in Bangkok’s Lebua State Tower. I was so happy when they got their own place and then again when they got their second Michelin star. I have so many happy memories of the meals I have had and I look forward to many more. So thankyou Thomas, Mathias,... More

Another visit last week to my favourite restaurant in Bangkok, ⭐️⭐️Sühring with Andy Yang and Firm Hongsananda. The Michelin guide Bangkok is only in it’s second year here and there isn’t a ⭐️⭐️⭐️ restaurant in the city.........yet.
Thanks again Thomas Sühring , Mathias Sühring and team for another stellar meal. It honestly keeps getting better and better every time I visit, which is hard to believe when after every visit I think I’ve just had a perfect meal. See you... More

The Sühring twins have had an illustrious career throughout the world but now are back together in Bangkok with their own restaurant.
The food is very playful with lots of references to Germany and German "street food" like Leberkäs and Curry Wurst, but when it comes to the main dishes (duck, grey fish etc) they show solid technique and great combination of flavour. I can see the appeal of the German play-food but I prefer the main dishes.

A fairly disappointing dinner at a Michelin 2-star and #4 on Asia's 50 Best. Many playful dishes which tasted fine, but no real magic other than the duck at the end.
