麺や 高倉二条 (Takakura Nijo in Kyoto)

Takakura Nijo is the second shop from the people behind Sugari (or maybe the third, as there is another Sugari). They have also opened a third shop called No Name (名前のないラーメン屋) along the banks of the Kamogawa River. All of these shops are gorgeous. All of these shops serve standout motsu tsukemen.

Recommended bowl: Tonkotsu gyokai & motsu

A modern style ramen shop, with house-made noodles cranked out in a noodle room upstairs above the shop. The house special is tsukemen, with topping options for pork chashu or motsu, aka chunks of fatty beef intestine. Multiple shops in this group also located in Kyoto, such as Wajōryōmen Sugari & Namae No Nai Ramenya. Open since 2006.
