This Japanese restaurant in Gion has earned two Michelin stars. You can enjoy your meal at the counter while watching the chef at work. From the very first dish, you can feel the playful spirit and refreshing touch in the delicate offerings, such as the thick mackerel sushi, and everything is delicious. It's no wonder they maintain two stars in Kyoto. I definitely want to visit again.

I was able to make a reservation again this month, so I visited. The menu changes based on the day's ingredients, allowing us to enjoy the best dishes in their prime.Everything was truly delicious. The skill of the chefs is incredible... I felt so happy with every bite. The drink was a fruit sake made from Kurukatsu (orange). For a refreshing summer touch, the corn kuzudofu (starch tofu) was elegantly topped with caviar and dashi jelly, covered with leaves as a lid.The long item was a combination of... I visited this Michelin two-star restaurant in Kodaiji for the first time in three years. Even on a weekday, it was fully booked. It seemed like there were guests in both the private tatami room and at the tables. The chef's jokes were on point, making for a delightful experience. He took the lead in the kitchen and even saw us off at the end. I left feeling very satisfied.

Traditional Kaiseki in the midst of Gion. Seasonal ingredients from all over Japan, plated beautifully and with great precision. The tempura dish with a fragrant Fuginoto (butterbur sprout) was exceptional.
