This was my fourth visit (fifth if you include Niseko).I've tried all the dishes, and they are consistently delicious every time. Each dish has evolved beautifully.I especially love the abalone and squid ink (the black one) every time. This time, I pre-ordered the savarin for dessert. It’s served with Japanese sake poured over it.The cheese is in a mini size, which is perfect for finishing off the meal. The restaurant makes abundant use of Hokkaido ingredients and also features Hokkaido wine.It's... I made a reservation about three weeks ago and visited this charming little restaurant located in a residential area. The service was impeccable, attending to every detail.Every dish was delicious. The first amuse-bouche was creamy and delightful. The gazpacho had a refreshing acidity. The fried edamame was light and made me hungry for more. The bread was fluffy and paired wonderfully with slightly salted butter. The vegetable assortment featured 24 carefully prepared varieties, beautifully presented.... More

The dishes that utilize the rich seasonal ingredients from Hokkaido are all beautifully crafted, resembling works of art.I particularly enjoy the delicate preparations of robustly flavored vegetables ❤️This restaurant has consistently maintained its Michelin 3-star rating, yet the quality, quantity, and excellence are surprisingly reasonable, especially for lunch. For lunch, I chose the middle course priced at JPY 9,600 (tax included, service charge not included). Each dish was a delightful surprise,... After arriving in Sapporo, I visited this restaurant after checking out the Red Brick Office and the Clock Tower. The calm interior was adorned with sunflowers, fitting for summer. The meal began with three appetizers, followed by dishes featuring sea urchin, abalone, the elusive lamb, cheese, and pineapple. I initially ordered four pairings, but it ended up being seven, including champagne. The standout dish was the charcoal-grilled Hokkaido Suffolk lamb, which had an exceptional richness that is... I visited Restaurant Moliere for lunch, located about a 5-minute walk from Maruyama Park Station. From the moment I arrived, the elegant exterior heightened my expectations, and the interior was a lovely, refined space that felt calm and inviting. The staff provided excellent service, and my anticipation for the meal grew the moment I took my seat.As for the food, the French course was consistently high quality from the first dish to the final dessert, showcasing the excellent ingredients and meticulous... It’s quite difficult to make a reservation, and if you manage to get through on the phone, consider yourself lucky. There were many foreign guests, and various languages other than Japanese were being spoken. The French dishes made entirely from local Hokkaido ingredients were stunning, each plate a work of art. The friendly and articulate sommelier provided excellent wine pairings for each dish, which were simply wonderful. I intentionally left out taking a photo of one dish.Various vegetables,... More

During our trip to Sapporo, my wife and I had lunch at Restaurant Moliere, located right in front of Hokkaido Shrine. They have a parking lot, but it's a half-basement that can be quite challenging to access unless you have a compact car. There might be other parking options, but we struggled a bit to find a spot.Since it was a Saturday lunch, I made a reservation about a month in advance, and it was definitely the right choice as the restaurant was fully booked on the day.We chose the Moliere course,... On the third day of my trip to Hokkaido, after indulging in seafood, I decided to go for French cuisine on the last day.Wow, this place is delicious!!For the meat, I usually go for Tokachi beef, but I heard they had some excellent lamb, so I chose that instead. It was incredibly tasty, with perfect cooking and an amazing depth of flavor when you bit into it.The wine pairing complemented the dishes beautifully and was delightful.I definitely want to visit this restaurant again!

Located just a 6-minute walk from Nishi 28-chome Station on the Tozai Line (Sapporo City Subway), this French restaurant is a renowned establishment in a quiet area near Maruyama Park. As of June 2026, it boasts a Tabelog score of 4.26 and has been selected as one of Tabelog's "100 Best Restaurants 2025." According to the staff, reservations should be made at least two months in advance. One of the main purposes of my trip to Hokkaido was to revisit this restaurant. The lunch menu offers three options:... More

I had been wanting to visit this restaurant for a long time. Fortunately, I was able to make a reservation, so I headed to Sapporo to use my miles. The dishes allowed me to enjoy the deliciousness of the ingredients. The staff had just the right amount of personality, and they all kept an eye on the dining area, providing great hospitality in a relaxed atmosphere. The place had a stylish French vibe reminiscent of the Showa era, and the building itself gave off a similar impression to the now-closed... More

I had a celebratory lunch at the famous Restaurant Moliere in Sapporo, a place I had wanted to visit for a long time. I enjoyed the JPY 14,800 lunch course. Each dish was incredibly delicious and creatively crafted. The first course, a chilled tomato soup, was served like a brandy on the rocks, and as I sipped it, the flavors gradually became smoother. The salad, featuring 24 types of vegetables with 5 different sauces, offered a delightful mix of flavors. The white asparagus, which had just come... More

It can only be described as exceptional. The dishes are relatively simple, using common ingredients, yet they are beautifully presented with great care. The fritters made with scallops and butterbur shoots are outstanding, boasting a rich and delightful flavor. The dishes featuring skate and venison are also expertly prepared. Above all, the attentiveness of the sommelier enhances the dining experience.
