Fugu and truffle. This restaurant newly elevated restaurant is a complete disappointment. The fried fugu was overcooked, the dashi more or less tasteless. The rice by itself nothing special, the truffle which was shaved on top was from France (!). The killer was however the fact that the rice infused with truffle oil to make the small intense. What a scam! And, of course before I forget, the price is painfully expensive and as I had a cancellation the restaurant decided to charge me the full price... More

Sometimes you just walk in and try your luck at a kaiseki place that you walk past and have been meaning to try. Sometimes you get lucky and they have a private room for you. Very nice, somewhat modern kaiseki at Kadowaki.
