Modern and refined tempura in Kyoto. Hit well above my expectations with an extremely focused and deliberate presentation of each piece. Even though the blotting paper showed some decent amounts of oil, I never once felt that any of the tempura pieces were too oily. Each piece of ebi was like a work of art in its unreal appearance, and yet tasty.

Very good tempura. Compared to Uchitsu the tempura was not as light, but I liked trying different vegetables, maybe a more creative take, not as focused on fish and seafood.
