Straight from Tony Parkin at The Tudor Room to @elystanstreet via a quick PCR test. This is another London favourite for me as I've really enjoyed chef @philchef Phil Howard's cooking here now he is not under the 2 Michelin star yoke at The Square. The Square was awesome of course but the food at Elystan Street just seems a lot more joyful and I can kind of feel that it's being cooked by a happy bunch in the kitchen. My next stop in London was @elystanstreet where @philchef and his team are really doing some wonderful things in this kitchen. Truly delicious food accompanied by a homely and relaxed service. Along side Noble Rot, my best recommendation in London right now.

After having to upkeep 2 Michelin stars for 17 years at The Square, Phil Howard seems to be very much enjoying his new, more casual venture at Elystan Street, gaining a Michelin star in the first year of it opening. The restaurant itself lies within a pleasant suburb part of Chelsea and has a smart casual feel, seemingly good for an airy lunch and evening meal alike. This visit was a reasonable set menu lunch on a Sunday for £50 pp which, for a very good Sunday roast seemed reasonable value.... More
