Frantzén part III. I wanted to wait some time for the euphoria of a perfect meal to wear off, otherwise I’d just post a gushing string of superlatives. Needless to say, all of the accolades are deserved. They have built something truly magical. Utterly transportive from the moment you walk in the door, to when you find yourself on a rooftop terrace at 1am sipping coffee and eating hot madelines, chatting with the kitchen. Essential, delicious, important. Massive thank you to @carl_frosterud... More

Winter season menu at Frantzen. Arguably the most hyped restaurant (aside from Noma 2.0) in Europe in the past 18 months. When they decided to go after that third Michelin star, they really went all-in.
Michelin 3*.
The third visit at Frantzén’s in 2018. I really love that place, an outstanding restaurant concept with outstanding hosts, a really exceptional wine list and delicious dishes. The atmosphere, the people, and of course also the well designed and created dishes make this place to be One of the hotspots around the globe and definitely the hottest spot in Europe at the moment. I already booked two times for 2019, as I enjoy this experience so much.
Another memorable lunch at this top spot ⭐️⭐️⭐️ Adding layers and refinement and all with a little warm touch
Fifth visit at the new place and once again they continue outperform and outshine, improved flavor combinations and excellent cooking techniques and simply top of the pops right now, basically ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Another visit to Frantzén in Stockholm.
This places evolved even further over the last 18 months and is now certainly one of the best restaurants in the West.
The sourcing of the products is surely a great base, but the refinement and creativity of Björn's dishes have reached a level which is hard to surpass.
His chawanmushi would make any highly awarded Japanese Chef proud. The autumn lamb cannot be made better, the flavours, the texture and the composition of the dish is as good as... More

Overall an absolute highlight in find dining and a certain must for me for an annual visit, at a minimum!

Is this the future of fine dining? A 3 star restaurant that excell on all techniques and ingredients, live execution at the counter seatings and enjoyable wine parrings and manages to be informal like feeling at home! It just might be
This is the lunch place to be right now and 3rd visit since re-opening was a seven hours fairytale of flavors, fun and fabs.
Juice Pairing: Juice: Cloudberries and Lapsang tea | Pressed gooseberries with lilac syrup | Oxidized apple juice, Tsubu Arare, and Dong Ding tea | Zakura cherry juice, tomatoes, and Arabica beans | Raspberry and tarragon “drinking vinegar”

A French-Nordic kaiseki.
A very luxurious experience based on great ingredients with very strong Japanese influences. Great hopsitality, fantastic venue, suprising and really special wine/drink pairings!
Bjorn Frantzen received his 3rd Michelin star about a month before I dined there. This was after he closed and relocated his restaurant in 2017 to what he describes as, "The old Frantzen times 10." Every detail of the restaurant is designed to enhance the overall experience. Enter a private elevator that plays music at the push of a button, a beautiful lounge area for champagne and appetizers, and a rooftop terrace where you can smoke Cuban cigars. Every detail of the restaurant is designed to enhance the overall experience. Enter a private elevator that plays music at the push of a button, a beautiful lounge area for champagne and appetizers, and a rooftop terrace where you can smoke Cuban cigars. In the main dining area, guests are seated at a kitchen counter that surrounds the open fire kitchen. The dining area is essentially the kitchen where you get to watch the culinary show unfold. Frantzen can be described as Nordic cuisine with Japanese influences. I've never had a tasting menu in which every course was a home run. Before I knew it, 7 hours had flown by. It is only a matter of time before Frantzen is competing for the top spot at the World's 50 Best List. Less
Sensational 2nd visit in the past 4 months and well deserved 3 stars!
Björn Frantzen just opened his place again in Stockholm. This time he is really reaching for the stars. A modern, nordic Kaiseki meal with wonderful flavours and combinations, executed flawlessly.
This will be for sure a new 3 star restaurant.
This is Frantzen in its old iteration at the previous cramped premises and it is interesting to look back two years and see how far they have come. I wonder did they think that just two years later they would be open in an incredibly spacious and luxurious new property and by one of only a very few resataurants in the world to be awarded a 3* michelin straight away. You can see there are a couple of dishes that still remain years later on the new Frantzen menu. French toast and a dessert looks familiar... More
