It would be a mistake to simply think of @kjollerest as a sister restaurant to @centralrest - it’s so much more than that. Named after a yellow Andean flower, Kjolle is the first solo restaurant of World’s Best Female Chef @pialeonkjolle - former head chef of Central and wife of @virgiliocentral. While the two restaurants share the same location, Kjolle differs from Central as it focuses only on the ingredient and is not restricted by the same altitude... More

Like it or not, this was my favourite meal of the VMV Empire meals I had on this trip.
Housed in the same building as Central, tucked away upstairs in a lofty, airy space it is far more casual than the constructed dishes of Virgilio.
8 servings, perfectly calibrated with interesting ingredients and flavours. Sometimes with a little hint of spice so you don't forget that you are in Peru.
And of course, a chocolate from Cusco.
A great place.
