As always, the Zén team were flawless in their narrative driven presentation of each dish—drawing your attention to the seasonal ingredients, their origin and preparation🙌🏻. Loved the regular appearance of sake varietals which were used to great effect in the pairing👏🏻.

Notable pairing: Akamutsu, Roasted Cauliflower Dashi, Zén Reserve Caviar x Shichihonyari Kokoku Yamahai 2018 🍶🐟

Moments of Zén😌. I was eager to return to Zén, after a long, memorable dinner there in 2019✨. 4 years, almost to the day, later we began our meal—as one does at Zén—with a delightful selection of amuse bouche and bubbles🫧, before ascending the stairs to the dining room where our culinary adventure continued. 🍄🦞🍶

Notable pairing: Kuruma Ebi & Buckthorn x Tamagawa & Zén Time Machine ‘88 (Kinoshita Shuzō • Kyoto)

Lunch service(on fridays) and the Spring menu arrives at Zen, and the vibe feels much more laid back with the natural light coming in, plus I think I may have found the spot with the best lighting just in time for dessert-

Beet and raspberry sorbet buried under a tea infused mousse, dusted with beet powder and painted with aged balsamic vinegar, served alongside pistachio waffles. Looks just like a painting 💯

Restaurant Zen, the Singapore offspring of Michelin-starred Frantzén and serves a fabolous meal by Frantzén’s head chef Marcus Jemmark. Stunning ingredients, impeccable presentations.

Just a small snapshot of what to expect at @restaurantzen.sgp. I always worry when I visit a place and the first time is magic — can they keep it up and wow me again? For the whole Zén team, it was an emphatic yes.

An excellent outpost of Frantzen in Stockholm with same high standards of execution and flavors

Frantzen's outpost in Singapore, same concept but independent interpretation. They move you from floor to floor, show you the ingredients in an ice box and they have a same interieur feeling.
The could not get rid of the famous truffle toast, but apart from that they have entirely different dishes.
The set-up forces them to bring a lot to the table and do quite some plating there, which makes it a very interactive experience.
Overall a very pleasant experience with excellent food and great hospitality.... More

Restaurant Zén was such a great experience that I ran out of superlatives. I love this kind of fine dining - unabashedly modern, without sacrificing quality and style. Reminds me a lot of why I fell in love with Saison years back. Not posting too much of the food to keep it a surprise, but everything I ate was basically perfect. Outstanding, smart pairings. Brilliantly cool staff. I left after 5.5 hours only because jet lag was kicking my ass. Also, I don’t believe in God, but I do believe in... More
