Shop: Manriki (スパイス・ラー麺 卍力) @manriki.spice_ramen
Location: Nishikasai, Tokyo
Style: Spice
Hype: Descendant of Kikanbo
Spicy ramen influenced by Indian spices. Manji (卍) marks adorn almost everything in the shop. Their 2nd shop in Akihabara might be easier access for you Tokyo people.
I write much, much more over on my website Ramen Adventures. Link in bio. #ramen #ramenadventures #japan

Recommended bowl: Buddhist power
The two kanji characters for this shop mean "Buddhist power.” Inside the shop, Buddhist swastika designs are emblazoned everywhere, from the walls down to the ramen bowls. Indian and Persian-sounding beats and horns pump through speakers in the cozy quarters. The master behind this shop apprenticed at Kikanbou, the famed spicy miso-tonkotsu shop in Kanda. Indian and Persian-sounding beats and horns pump through speakers in the cozy quarters. The master behind this shop apprenticed at Kikanbou, the famed spicy miso-tonkotsu shop in Kanda. The soup here is unforgettable. It references miso ramen, but is melded together with red chili, Sichuan peppercorns and various other Indian spices that are often used in curries. The bowls are topped with bean sprouts, pork chashu, marinated eggs and optional cilantro in varying quantities. Noodles provided by the purveyor Kanzin. Open since 2014, and a second branch in Akihabara, open since 2019. Less
