This was a refined course that beautifully fused authentic French culinary techniques with Japan's wonderful ingredients. Every dish was truly delicious, and I was continuously impressed!- Gazpacho The sweet flavor of cold muscat grapes made for a refreshing and elegant start, perfect for the hot season.- French Land Squab The meat of the squab was surprisingly tender and juicy. I was handed a piece to enjoy in one bite, and the yolk from the quail egg burst in my mouth.- Yaizu Meigo This dish... More

I visited during the lunch service, which starts promptly at 12:00. You can enjoy a theatrical-style course at the counter. Each dish is filled with excitement and delight, and before I knew it, I had finished all five desserts. The service and wine pairings were highly satisfying, and I would love to return for a special occasion.

Each dish was crafted to highlight the natural flavors of the ingredients, allowing us to enjoy both the visual beauty and delicate taste. The changes in aroma and texture were also impressive, conveying the essence of the season and the chef's dedication. It was a highly satisfying course that truly enhanced the appeal of the fish and meat. I would love to visit again.

A top French restaurant in the BRONZE category, located within walking distance from Kagurazaka Station. The quality of the ingredients truly stands out here. They emphasize the natural flavors of the ingredients, skillfully elevating them through cooking and sauces. It feels like they intentionally hold back on creative twists due to the high quality of the ingredients, but the skill of the chefs is evident throughout the dishes.

During my trip to Paris, I had the pleasure of visiting L'Arkest, and everything was delicious and memorable, which made me curious to visit this restaurant as well.I have a lot to say about each dish, but first, the temperature of each dish was outstanding. The proximity of the kitchen to the seating area is definitely a strong point. The variety of textures, from crispy to crunchy, was also enjoyable.Overall, everything was delicious, but among the fish dishes, the one featuring fluffy barracuda... More

I was looking forward to dining at L'ETERRE, a French restaurant that serves fish from Sasu Maeda Fish Shop in Yaizu. Fortunately, the weather was nice, and it seemed like they had a good supply of fresh fish. The standard offerings like horse mackerel and kinmedai (golden eye snapper) were cooked to perfection and incredibly delicious. However, the highlight of the season was definitely the bonito.

I visited for lunch and my honest impression is that this is a highly refined French restaurant. Every dish in the course was delicious to the point where I couldn't find any faults. Although the prices are on the higher side, the level of satisfaction was well worth it. I was told that the course menu changes frequently, so I definitely want to come back before the end of the year.

I visited for dinner.Since the restaurant was reserved for a private event that day, I had the opportunity to talk with the staff a lot, which was a very educational experience.I learned that the chef trained in France for a year and a half. The seasoning was to my personal liking, and I enjoyed every dish until the very last bite.Additionally, I was impressed by the use of knives from Takamura Hamono, which showcased the restaurant's attention to detail. The dinner was truly satisfying, not just in... This was my first visit to the restaurant, which is a Tabelog Award BRONZE 2026 selected establishment. It features French cuisine centered around fish, sourced from Sasue Maeda Fish Shop. The appetizers highlighted the quality of the fish ingredients, with a light seasoning that kept the flavors pure. However, the main fish dishes were accompanied by richer sauces. I also appreciated the quality of the white asparagus, which was not just about the fish. Some dishes had a stronger saltiness than expected.... More

A French restaurant located in Kagurazaka. It has received one Michelin star. The restaurant features a counter and semi-private rooms.I didn’t order the pairing due to my lack of research, but the staff kindly recommended some excellent wines. The portions are quite generous, so make sure to arrive with a good appetite. When I was feeling too full, they kindly offered to reduce the portion size of the pork loin. They also allowed me to take home the dessert, a financier.I brewed some tea at home and... This latest visit to L’ÉTERRE offered another quietly confident, fire- and produce-driven meal that demonstrated Chef Tagomori’s refined touch and sensitivity to flavor.

The gougère was soft and cheesy—a classic but satisfying start. It was followed by a sweet corn cream paired with Thai coffee, a surprisingly effective combination: the bitterness of the coffee playing beautifully against the natural sweetness of the corn.

The beef tartare, made from mature dairy cow, had excellent... More

A very strong debut in Kagurazaka from @yoshiaki_archeste and team at L’Eterre.

Perched on the second story in a neighborhood full of great food, the space is long and stylish. An elegant leather wrapped kitchen counter puts you face to face with the staff. They’re delivering smart and delicious food that reminds me of eating in Paris. Japanese ingredients, including fish from @sasue812, feature heavily, though the flavors aren’t in any way fusion. Salt and richness... More
