Solid delicious Kaiseki restaurant with 2 stars. Incredibly well prices. Good sake selection.

A small chain specializing in Sichuan Cuisine /Chinese /Dandan noodles founded by Mr. Chin, a famous, somewhat portly Chef with a greater the life personality.
Very decent food at rock bottom prices with the most expensive course, the shark fin registering at ¥2000, a steal.

The current Number 1 in Germany, Christian Bau continues to refine his Paris Tokyo approach. The beauty of his dishes are only matched by his skillful layering of subtle tastes on top of other subtle tastes to create a culinary “Gesamtkunstwerk”. The food gets matched by the formidable Nina Mann who easily lives up to the challenge of delivering a pure German wine pairing. The dinner is well paced and gets delivery and explained competently by the excellent front office staff.
If there is one thing one want to mention, it is the decor. Sometimes I wonder if somebody like Christian Bau and his team would deserve a restaurant which matches the esthetics of the food?
A must when in Germany. It is closer than you think. Less

- Gerhard Huber added a new meal Dinner at Sushi Sakai (鮨 さかい) at Sushi Sakai
Sakai san continues to produce outstanding otsumami and nigiris. I like the seasoning of his rice a lot, well balanced between sweetness, texture and acidity. He added a sommelier this year, who tries to match the food with a mixture of wines and sakes. I, being European, think the sakes are a much better match as they release mor umami from the nigiris.... More

This, however, is a matter of personal taste. Less

Greta lunch in a wonderful spot. Part of the new village resort close to Grundlsee in Styria/Austria there cooking is solid, sometimes with a twist.

Well deserved meal after a short hike. They keep the fish in the lake next to the restaurant, so when you order the get them and prepare them for you.
