- Gerhard Huber added a new meal Dinner at Sushi Ginza Onodera at Sushi Ginza Onodera with David Kaufman
Otsumami spiked with luxury ingredients,
shari a little too little acidity,
neta sometimes lacks texture and flavour.
Overall very pleasant but almost painfully expensive

Ferran Adrià just entered the building! However his name now is Aitor Zabala and the building is not Cala Montjoi but in Los Angeles.
This place is as close as it gets if you want to re-live an El Bulli meal. It is modernised, maybe a little less experimental but very very good.

A simple dish, which gets served in any cheap bar, pan con tomate y jamon, becomes a multilayered flavour explosion in your mouth. A peasant dish, five alubias caress your mouth as if they want to stay there.
This place is new and it will get better. Certainly one of the 3 star contenders in the new GM CA guide.
I will be back.
Long live El Bulli!! Less

Tacos in St. Petersburg. Fun hole in the wall, great swift service and excellent, flavourful tacos. Great place to have a snack.

Unbelievable free format dinner at the test kitchen of Wolfgang Puck. Here the Chefs of the Group can come and cook for a week, together with 2 resident Chefs.
It might be hit or miss, but this time is was a HIT. I would try it any time. A wonderful intimate affair which one does not want to miss.

Excellent sushi at Susukino Shushikin. Perfectly balanced nigiris, very flavourful and Tokyo Edo-mae style.
The Master speaks English very well, so an excellent place for froeigners.

We have had the "must eat" menu which displayed the classics of Chef Grishechkin. It consists of 4 snacks which come in two servings, 3 mains and 4 sweet dishes. For my taste too much sugar at the end.
The main were solid with the veal cheek being the highlight. Interestingly served with an axe on the side which one used to add flavour. However none of the flavour were really compelling and modern. The Fabergé egg for example, although very nicely presented, it was just caviar with a little chocolate taste.
Overall I do not understand the hype of this place.
Maybe one needs to try the rest of the vast menu in order to get Less

Ivan and Sergey Berezutskiy are working for quite some time to create and realize their own dream. They must have found the right partner to do so, because what they have accomplished in their new place in Moscow, Twin's Garden is remarkable.

Quite a large restaurant on 2 floors on top of a building overlooking a park and some very beautiful buildings, they have the largest collection of wines in Russian and the biggest collection of Russian wine.
They served us their vegetable menu which was entirely sourced from their 50ha farm where they have everything one needs to be autark.
Their philosophy sounds simple: Concentrate the taste of vegetables by removing or adding liquidity. The picture of the lab shows what they mean by this.
The result is more than impressive. It is hard to keep a palate interested when you only serve vegetables bu they mastered this challenge brilliantly. The courgette flower and the dry aged cabbage were wonderful dishes with great subtlety and flavour profile.
Besides the menu they paired the dishes with the own fermented Vegetable wines. As interesting this experiment is, and I am sure they poured plenty of heart blood into this effort, I have been a little underwhelmed by the result. Most of them had a too high acidity for really become my favourite beverage. But as I wrote a before, there are 15,000(!) positions on the wine list, plenty to choose from.
I absolutely have to go back to eat the "normal" menu. It must be great Less

3rd and last act of the Vladimir Mukhin day in Moscow. In the same building where White Rabbit is houses, on the ground floor there is the lab, where VM and his fellow Chef alternate cooking for a small group of people. `

All dishes are well executed and very tasty. Some of the them like the sea urchin with caviar, potatoes and tangerines outstanding.
Great day and большое спасибо вам to Chef Vlad for an outstanding day. Less

Youngest member in the growing White Rabbit group of restaurants. Stunning dinging room in a high rise on the Garden ring with a wrap-around terrace.
The food is seafood centric using Mediterranean and Asian techniques and flavours.
