A new sea food focused restaurant from Chef Beau Clugston. The sea urchin from the Faroe Island were outstanding. The wine list is mostly natural wines which I am not a great fan of, but there they were bearable.

I have been at the opening on this Gasthof in 1982. It has been going strong since then. Kurt Berger took over 6 years ago and improved the already great concept.
However nothing can beat a lunch in the shaded garden underneath the chestnuts in the summer.
Stick to the simple dished even though Kurt cooked for us a great branzino in salt crust.... More

The Sgteingasse used to have one or two places, not anymore. Full of little places tugged into houses built into the mountain, it also houses Maiers. Karli, the Chef cooks in very small kitchen has a menu which centres around steak from a local farmer. This he compliments with a weekly changing menu of 4-5 dishes.

This place used to be a solid place to have good Austrian food, not anymore. The venison steak could have been better used as a sole on a shoe, the tartare was machine mixed and without any seasoning. I could go on.....

It is fitting that the American Chef Nick Curtin found a neighbourhood in Copenhagen which easily could be in the Lower East Side in Manhattan. A creaking elevator full of graffiti brings you to the second floor, where the dining room and completely open kitchen is located.

It is fitting that the American Chef Nick Curtin found a neighbourhood in Copenhagen which easily could be in the Lower East Side in Manhattan. A creaking elevator full of graffiti brings you to the second floor, where the dining room and completely open kitchen is located.
The food is serious business with interesting combinations of flavours. Little flaws in the execution did not deter us from really enjoying the meal.
The one Guide Michelin star after just one year is totally deserved.
They also have from time to time a Jazz dinner with great music and a set menu and drinks. Even more fun! Less

It seems that AOC is living in the shadow of the famous restaurants in Copenhagen. It does not have to do so, because it can easily stand out amongst the great places of this city.
It is Nordic with a French twist but every dish is carefully thought out and perfectly executed. I loved the flavour combinations and plating.
