Next stop on my best of Copenhagen mini tour was to ⭐️⭐️ @restaurantalchemist , and to my mind the best restaurant on the planet at the moment. Having visited around 10 times now it was great to experience it with 6 newbies. As @lykke_alchemist commented, it was like me and @hayhay_hailz were the calm and relaxed parents watching their 6 very excited kids running around on Christmas morning. 8 hours of incredible food, service and exceptional wines (🤯), experienced from the best seats in the house. @rasmusmunkalchemist is a true genius and as Ferran Adria said to the audience at the Gastronomika conference in Spain the other week, “the future of gastronomy”. High praise from arguably the most influential chef (certainly to our current generation of cooks) in the World. But I couldn’t agree more. Thanks again Rasmus for another exceptional and thought provoking meal.🙏❤️

Another visit to ⭐️⭐️ @restaurantamelia by Paulo Airaudo in San Sebastián. This restaurant just keeps going from strength to strength. We had a procession of faultless and stunningly flavourful dishes with strong influences from Japan. It’s great to see Paulo’s empire slowly growing in these tough times, with several openings in San Sebastián itself aswell as in Barcelona and a future three star I would think at the Four Seasons hotel in HongKong. Yes he’s a friend, but I do try to be impartial and not rave about a restaurant unless I do truly believe it’s worthy of a strong recommendation, as Amelia certainly is. San Sebastián’s very own Frantzén, and their next three ⭐️ I’m sure.

I have had some stunning meals at @restaurantpurev Pure & V and this was probably my favourite so far. Finnish chef @pinja.cheffe Pinja Paakkonen brings her own excellent Scandi take on the local produce available and she is a true talent. @vanessa_pure_and_v Vanessa (the V in Pure & V) is opening a second more casual restaurant @pure.vins Pure Vins upstairs which I can’t wait to try. Highly recommended.
