Our final stop on my best of Spain tour was a surprise for my guests. A late visit to the counter of Direkte, where Arnau Muñío Ribell presides over one of my favourite dining spots in this fantastic city of food. Ferran Adrià was just finishing up his meal at the counter as we arrived, which tells you just how highly respected this kitchen is. I can’t wait to bring the tour next year to their new location. The Boquería market is a great spot but I am excited to see what the team can do with a little more space!
