Leaving the wall to wall stag parties of Amsterdam behind us, we traveled 2 hours North East to ⭐️ @noorgroningen in Groningen. This is well worth the schlep, situated in a former church, Noor can seat around 24 covers including a chef’s kitchen table where we sat that can seat a party of 8. Chef/proprietors Jeroen and @chef.marleen Marleen Brouwer relocated here just shy of two years ago having gained a Michelin star at their last restaurant which was attached to a hotel. The hotel became too much of a burden and so they decided to relocate and focus on the food. The cooking is highly skilled and, like 212 in Amsterdam, it is umami rich and comforting. The sort of food that really puts a smile on your face. Well worth visiting next time you are in the Netherlands. (A fantastic sommelier aswell)
