Our next stop was to hit four of our favourite Birmingham restaurants, Carters, Folium, 670 grams and @thewildernessrestaurant
I have visited The Wilderness before and I have to say that this meal was far superior to my first visit. That’s not to say that the first meal was bad, but rather that this meal was excellent. @alexanderclaridge has really dialled up the flavours.
Certainly worth a visit if you are in Birmingham.

PEAR - LINGONBERRY - BRIE

My next stop was a quick hop on the train up to @thewildernessrestaurant in Birmingham’s Jewellery quarter which has been on my radar for a while. Chef proprietor @alexanderclaridge describes his business thus, “Exceptional produce cooked simply, supported by the very best talent in drinks alongside a classic rock and roll soundtrack”.
I won’t argue with any of that, the food was delicious, the wine and service very good as well.
