I truly believe that along with @solasoho , @theritzlondon , @kitchentable1 , @ikoyi_london , @alexdillingcaferoyal and @claudebosiatbibendum , this is one of the best restaurants in London. It’s interesting to note that all these one and two Michelin star restaurants are (IMO) head and shoulders out classing any of London’s three star restaurants. Again that’s very much just my own personal opinion. Da Terra is very highly recommended and you should definitely head over to Bethnal Green and try chef @rafacagali Rafael Cagali’s Brazilian and Italian influenced cuisine.

A fantastic meal at 8 seat counter @aulissimonrogan in London last year before their recent refurbishment. The concept here used to be that it was the test kitchen for newly minted with three Michelin stars L'enclume up North. But it is certainly much more than that now and rather an insight into Simon Rogan's whole philosophy of a deep respect for nature and the wild, while using cutting edge techniques, imagination and passion.
Definitely worth visiting if you are in London.

I finally made it to @restaurant_the_samuel for my last stop on the Copenhagen leg of the tour after having had to cancel at least twice over the last couple of years due to pandemic travel madness (cancelled with plenty of notice). Also this was a well needed moment of solitude in the middle of wrangling as many as 14 people at times on a 90+ restaurant tour over two months covering several countries. Don’t get me wrong, I loved eating with friends and making new ones in the process, but it can get a little stressful at times when trying to herd these particular cats.
This was another recommendation from Kristian Brask Thomsen, and it didn’t disappoint. Fabulous wines and delicious food rounded off by one of the best cheese servings that I’ve ever had. A very much needed few hours holiday away from my holiday 😬

Coincidentally I bumped in to @cal_byerley & @sian_byerley of the amazing
@restaurantpine up near Newcastle.
On that note I will now unashamedly brag about the time that I sat eating dinner at restaurant Pine and found it to be so good that I sent a message to the former Times restaurant critic Marina O'Loughlin (legend) who then visited Pine and wrote a stellar review that then resulted in... well I'm sure you know what a great review from Marina results in.
I was so happy to be sat next to Cal and Sian all evening as they really are the best people and so deserve every success at Pine.
The food at Kitchen Table keeps getting better and better. @jknappett and the team are doing a stellar job (I’ve been back a couple of times since this visit). It’s my number one recommendation if you’re in London 👌🏻

Our next stop was to the spectacular @underlindesnes Under, which was a short flight from Oslo followed by a 2 hour drive. But it’s certainly worth the trek to get there. The restaurant is situated five and a half metres below sea level with a panoramic view of the seabed at one end, and an open kitchen at the other, giving you the choice of a table side view of the North Atlantic Ocean’s marine ecosystem, or of the kitchen. Guess where I choose to sit 😬 👨🍳
The food here, all seafood of course, is excellent and the location gives you a better understanding of our relationship with our surroundings when it comes to eating. Food for thought with your attention being drawn to sustainable models for responsible consumption. Many thanks to Head chef @ellitsgaard_under for his hospitality 🙏

I highly recommend that you visit and experience Jonathan's cooking which is focused on local seasonal produce and inspired by the cultural heritage of his team.
