Restaurants
First visit to the first restaurant serving high end Hokkien cuisine in HK. Overall the food was fine, but a few dishes had their flavors toned down in response to local tastes, which was somewhat disappointing.
Good effort from David Yip, and it's a start.

- Peter Chang added a new meal First dinner at Leela at Leela
First visit since Chef Manav Tuli left Chaat and opened this place with Jia Group. Many new dishes, and overall pretty delicious. That butter chicken perhaps better than before. And the biryani is always a MUST.

- Peter Chang added a new meal Sticks of chicken at Toritama at Toritama
Another visit to one of the best yakitori joints in Hong Kong. They do have a number of unusual parts so I always make sure I take advantage of it.

- Peter Chang added a new meal The best tempura in Taipei at Mudan
By far the best tempura I've ever had in Taiwan, and perhaps the best in Asia outside Japan! Extremely high quality ingredients, and the execution was superb. The scallop, lobster, and wagyu roll were among my highlights for the whole of 2023.

- Peter Chang added a new meal Tasting new dishes at Caprice at Caprice
Tasting new dishes with Chef Guillaume Galliot while drinking bottles from his birth vintage. The dishes were fantastic, with some of the best duck he's ever served me.

First visit to the new Gaggan at Louis Vuitton in Bangkok, which features many classic dishes from the Gaggan days but many have now been "Monogrammed". A tasty meal as expected.

Finally got to do a full dinner here, with Gaggan and Vlad taking care of the ordering for me. Interesting to see both Indian and Mexican influence in the same dish from time to time. Casual and fun, and family-friendly.

- Peter Chang added a new meal Dinner w Gaggan and crew at Baan Somtum (Sathon)
Dinner with Gaggan and the boys at this popular chain serving Isaan dishes, with a focus on som tum, of course. The grilled and fried dishes are especially nice.

nice restaurant serving home-style Thai dishes done very well. Plenty of flavor without being too heavy-handed.
