- Peter Chang added a new meal Better service the second time at Jungsik
A second visit after almost 7 years. Service was better this time around, even though neither chef was in the kitchen. I don't have enough baseline knowledge on classic Korean cuisine, but the food was certainly tasty.

For the second time, I see that they've overcooked their Hanwoo and wasted a fine ingredient. A warning to anyone who wishes to order that in the future!

- Peter Chang added a new meal Dinner with natural wines at An Di at Ăn Đi
Creative and interesting modern Vietnamese fare, served with pairing of natural wines. Few of the dishes are standard fare, and in that sense opens one's eyes to the possibilities.

This place is known for their tarte flambée / flammelkueche, and we tried 3 different toppings. Nicely done.

- Peter Chang added a new meal Lunch at La Grappe d'Or at La Grappe d'Or
Famous place that even Jean Trimbach is familiar with.
Portions are Alsatian-sized as expected, and the braised jambonneau was damn big... with lots of roasted potatoes on the side.

- Peter Chang added a new meal Dinner at Restaurant A L' Aigle at La Cour de Lise
Another very popular place for tarte flambée / flammelkueche. Fewer options available, but the standard ones are pretty damn good. Nice charring on the crust.

- Peter Chang added a new meal Choucroutte in Alsace at Au Pont Corbeau
Dinner at this very popular restaurant in the heart of Strasbourg. Had to order choucroutte, and started with some head cheese. The portions are "Alsatian", which is to say, ENORMOUS. I can't see how a person with a normal appetite could finish an entrée, a plat, plus a dessert.

Wonderful seasonal flavors, of course. Of particular note is the hassun, presented so beautifully as two mandarin ducks swimming in water. The beef dish at the end with seasonal sansho flowers was amazing.

- Peter Chang added a new meal Kyo-ryori dinner at Imoto at Imoto (井本)
Surprised to find such a nice place for kyo-ryori in Fukuoka. The flavors were so subtle and elegant, so clean. A lot more vegetables than your average kaiseki meal. So happy.

- Peter Chang added a new meal Anniversary dinner at Caprice at Caprice
Very happy to return to Caprice for our anniversary, less than 2 weeks after our last meal here. Chef served up 2 dishes we enjoyed at our wedding dinner but updated both of them.

- Peter Chang added a new meal Dim sum menagerie at The Eight at The Eight
so happy to be back here for dim sum. The flavors and ingredients are top notch, but I love their presentation - how they make them into animal shapes. That takes a lot of effort!
