A very fun lunch back in September at @mont_bar in Barcelona and a great catch up with @the_dining_austrian Gerhard Huber upon his long anticipated return to Europe having been happily stuck in Japan for nearly two years. I really love the food here, one can happily spend a few hours munching through the entire menu and with Gerhard picking the wines it was hard to go wrong. Definitely one of the first places I book now when visiting one of my favourite cities to eat in.

A very enjoyable meal at @contaminazionirestaurant in Naples. I love the name of this restaurant, meaning contaminated of course. But in that the food has been contaminated or influenced by chef @giuseppemolaro ‘s time in Tokyo. I have to thank chef @heros_deagostinis for sending me here. I believe the two chefs worked together at La Pergola in Rome. You'll never stumble across this place by accident as it's located in a residential area a short drive from the city centre but it is certainly worth seeking out. Quite a new project when I visited last year, the chef was clearly ambitious and shooting for a Michelin star, which he was justifiably rewarded with. I'll certainly be back next time I'm in Naples

Dinner and a room at @ant_ristorante ANT in Novello in the Langhe region of Italy. Also if you want an in-depth perspective of the regions wines and vineyards then there probably isn't anyone better than Greg to follow.
"ANT is in a restored Piemontese farmhouse with unique architecture, consisting of interconnected rooms and a number of eclectic chambers, that include a 30 metre deep glassed-in well, a series of walk-in cellars where you can choose your wines for the evening and a central dining room that has a great feel to it. The menu is built around fresh seasonal ingredients from top suppliers in Piedmont, and the inspired use of Asian and European cooking techniques, and ingredients. The menu consists of seven courses created by Alex and his team of two and changes every five days. To give you some idea of their style, here is the Aperitif starter which kicked off the evening. Tempura of pressed and sliced pig's ear inside a mustard seed and nori salt batter: so crispy outside and unctuous inside. The togarashi mayonnaise had a fresh peppery kick. Served with an Aperitif drink made from their own black locust Vermouth and citric blueberry syrup, topped up with sparkling water with a fresh basil leaf."

Absolutely worth a look if you are in the area. The rooms are also very comfortable with a kitchen, dining room and great views of the surrounding landscape.

The brothers, chef Francesco and front of house Mario Sposito together offer impeccable service and creative, original and most of all tasty food.
