Lunch and dinner at ⭐️⭐️ Don Alfonso 1890 in Sant’agata before Christmas. An historic restaurant with the kitchen being handed down through generations. Set in a beautiful boutique hotel with stunning wine catacombs. However, I did find the food a little underwhelming, especially as this is a 2 star restaurant. Lovely service though and if you enjoy an old school dining experience then it might be worth a visit.

Unforgettable
The quality of the food and service is a perfect match to the level of the hotel where it is located. Both of us ordered the tasting menu, which was vibrant, full of flavours. One of the dishes was the eggplant parmigiana, the best I have ever tasted, but all fish and meat dishes were also superb.
