Vue de monde has been synonymous with Melbourne dining for over 20 years, continuing to present beautiful food that not only appeals to a sense of luxury but also honesty, integrity and an inherent natural flavour.
With a score of 19/20 in the Australian Good Food Guide awards this restaurant is very much the equivalent of a European three Michelin star place at the very top of their game. As far as I know, 20/20 has never been achieved by a restaurant over their so 19 is about as good as you’ll get. Excellent cooking from chef @hughsallen Hugh Allen who I first encountered at Noma´s Mexico popup quite a few years ago. I was terrorised as a little welcome by the restaurant when they demanded that I sabre a bottle of bubbles open in front of everyone. Not my finest hour 🤦🏻😬 Highly recommended
