(SWIPE FOR MORE PICS) Of course there was Betsubara for desserts. What did I pick? You guess it right, Torrija (pic 1-4) and Tarte de Queso (Pic 5-6). In this case I think the torrija outperformed the cheese cake. First it came on a moo 🐮 😆 and the surface was brûlée with a strong smokey aroma. Very crispy outside and very moist soaking with sweet milk inside. Ice cream as topping never hurts.

Overall La Taberna Del Gourmet is a great place for a vivid cheery place for good simple local tapas. Sometimes a good meal does not need to be complicated or fancy. Straightforward comfort food done right can be very satisfying, especially shared with food friends 😊
