It may not look like much but this bisque made with local shellfish was mind blowing. Reminiscent of the amazing bisque at @restaurantwillemhiele , which I still rate as the best I’ve ever had.
Then followed by a lovely cheese plate and some local rhubarb with cream to round off a really great meal

The next stop on this month long trip was to fly from Copenhagen to the Faroe Islands. Of course I was there for another visit to ⭐️⭐️ Koks but first I went to try the famous Faroese lamb.
This was after quarantining myself in the hotel while awaiting the results of my latest Covid test. Everyone who arrives is tested at the airport and then given the all clear (or not) via text a few hours later. Where else better to try this lamb than at The Lamb House. Áarstova is in Tórshavn, where I was staying, and is a traditional grass roofed house on the cobbled main street. They do a short taster menu where you can try some of the local specialities along with a main course of slow cooked Faroese lamb shoulder. The service is friendly and there is a very homely vibe to the place. A very good start to my short stay on the islands. If you do go, then bring a friend as the leg of lamb is quite an undertaking as a single diner. I did not disgrace myself though and put a sizeable dent in it.
