A very fun lunch back in September at @mont_bar in Barcelona and a great catch up with @the_dining_austrian Gerhard Huber upon his long anticipated return to Europe having been happily stuck in Japan for nearly two years. I really love the food here, one can happily spend a few hours munching through the entire menu and with Gerhard picking the wines it was hard to go wrong. Definitely one of the first places I book now when visiting one of my favourite cities to eat in.

I really love the food here, one can happily spend a few hours munching through the entire menu and with Gerhard picking the wines it was hard to go wrong. Definitely one of the first places I book now when visiting one of my favourite cities to eat in.

Ainda sobre a visita ao @mont_bar , dois momentos raro brilhantismo, um bikini genial com pequenos camarões por fora e pezinhos de porco no recheio! Na foto seguinte , pele de frango crocante com choco, shiso e lima. Tenho provado algumas peles de frango nos últimos anos, que crocantes servem de base para inúmeras combinações, aqui o contraste de texturas e o equilíbrio de gordura e frescura perdurará na memória!

Ainda sobre a visita ao @mont_bar , dois momentos raro brilhantismo, um bikini genial com pequenos camarões por fora e pezinhos de porco no recheio! Na foto seguinte , pele de frango crocante com choco, shiso e lima. Tenho provado algumas peles de frango nos últimos anos, que crocantes servem de base para inúmeras combinações, aqui o contraste de texturas e o equilíbrio de gordura e frescura perdurará na memória!

Montbar is a serious eatery and a must-go in Barcelona.
The food is well thought out, highly visual. No wonder as the Chef Fran Agudo worked at Celler and headed the kitchen at tickets when they got the Guide Michelin star. But unlike the bites at Tickets, this food is more serious but more importantly delicious. Every single dish!

Montbar is a serious eatery and a must-go in Barcelona.
The food is well thought out, highly visual. No wonder as the Chef Fran Agudo worked at Celler and headed the kitchen at tickets when they got the Guide Michelin star. But unlike the bites at Tickets, this food is more serious but more importantly delicious. Every single dish!

The food is as you would expect from these two exciting and innovative cooks. Tapas and small plates that are both inventive while respecting the traditional. My kind of place and I would highly recommend it when next you are in town.

The food is as you would expect from these two exciting and innovative cooks. Tapas and small plates that are both inventive while respecting the traditional.
