An impromptu visit a while ago to ⭐️ Northcote. Pretty nice actually and I will make a point of revisiting when Lisa Goodwin-Allen opens up her planned new restaurant still within the grounds of the hotel but with substantially less covers, thereby hopefully realising the full potential of the cooking here. That was the only flaw in the evening we thought, that the service sometimes suffered due to the sheer number of covers they are serving from that kitchen. The dining room is a bit of a monster with a small brigade and attempting food at this level so there were some very long pauses between courses. But like I said, the food was very nice so if you are in the area it would certainly be worthwhile popping in.
