It’s difficult to beat authentic sushi in Japan, but we do love the American interpretation of a “fusion-style” sushi😍 This food truck is located in the Lihau area on Kauai island of Hawaii, across from the @costco gas station exit⛽️ As with most other food trucks on the island, you can enjoy the freshly prepared food at their outdoor seating🌤

There was an extensive list of sushi roll variations, so we made 3 visits during our latest trip to Kauai🙈 Our favourites were the “Fire Dragon Roll” (spicy tuna roll topped with unagi, avocado and red tobiko drizzled with kabayaki sauce) and “Golden Tiger Roll” (shrimp tempura, organic king salmon, cucumber, spicy mayo, kabayaki sauce, tobiko)🌈

ハワイのカウアイ島にあるフュージョン寿司専門のフードトラック「Kauai Sushi Station（カウアイ・スシ・ステーション）」🚚 日本ではなかなか味わえないアメリカンな「スシロール」は伝統的なお寿司とは全くの別物として、大好きなジャンルです🦄 メニューは30種類近くあり、全て魅力的なので、今回も何度もリピートしてしまいました🤣

個人的にイチオシはカバー写真の「Fire Dragon Roll（ファイヤー・ドラゴン・ロール）」と「Golden Tiger Roll （ゴールデン・タイガー・ロール）」💯 前者は鰻、アボカド、とびこと蒲焼ソースを乗せたスパイシーツナロール、後者は海老の天ぷら、キングサーモン、胡瓜、スパイシーマヨネーズ、蒲焼ソースととびこを乗せた絶品でした🤤

After being a fan favorite near Waimea Canyon for a decade, “Porky’s” in Kauai relocated last December to a bigger and better location in Koloa, near Poipu Beach🐢 They specialize in mouthwatering pulled pork that is slow-cooked to perfection, with a menu offering four different variations💓

In the cover photo is their “Number Four,” featuring slow-roasted Kalua pork, fresh-cut pineapple, grilled onions, and sweet & spicy Porky’s sauce, all served on jasmine rice with a hint of coconut🥥 Swipe for their “Number One,” which is similar but includes a grilled quarter-pound pineapple-infused pork sausage inside a toasted hoagie roll with cheese🤤

ハワイの「Kauai（カウアイ島）」に訪れる際には必ず伺う、プルドポークの専門店「Porky’s Kauai（ポーキーズ・カウアイ）」🐖 10年間「Waimea（ワイメア）」地域にありましたが、去年12月「Poipu（ポイプ）」エリアにてリニューアルオープン🥳 日本ではあまり馴染みのないカウアイ島は大自然とジャンクフードが揃っていて、最高の旅行先です✈️

カバー写真の 「Number Four（ナンバー・フォー）」はハワイアンスタイルのプルドポーク、甘いグリルオニオン、フレッシュパイナップルと甘辛ソースをココナッツが香るジャスミンライスの上に乗せた絶品🍚 「Number One（ナンバー・ワン）」は上記にポークパイナップルソーセージを追加したホットドッグで、定番の人気メニューです🌭

Located in the back corner of Kukui’ula Grocery Market in Poipu, “Anakē’s Juice Bar” is a must-visit for anyone looking to kick-start their morning with a burst of flavour🌈 This cozy spot is open daily from 8AM to 3PM, offering smoothie bowl that are fresh, colourful, and packed with local fruits and ingredients🍌 It’s the perfect stop to fuel your day with a taste of the island🏝️

A personal favourite is the “Funky Monkey” in the cover photo, which blends peanut butter, banana, strawberry, açai, and almond milk, topped with banana, strawberry, vegan dark chocolate chips, granola, and raw honey🐒 “Da Dragon,” is a refreshing option, featuring a pitaya, banana, and mango base, with a vibrant mix of banana, mango, kiwi, pineapple, raspberry, lilikoi drizzle, goji berries, coconut flakes, granola, and raw honey🥭

前者はピーナッツバター、バナナ、苺、アサイとアーモンドミルクをブレンドしたベースに、ヴィーガンダークチョコレートチップス、グラノーラと生蜂蜜を乗せた絶品🍫 後者はドラゴンフルーツ、バナナとマンゴーのスムージーの上に、バナナ、マンゴー、キウイ、パイナップル、ラスベリー、パッションフルーツソース、ゴジベリー、ココナッツフレーク、グラノーラと生蜂蜜をトッピングした、リフレッシングなボウルでした💓

“Parfaiteria LELIA” is a pop-up cafe produced by @_draquire_, a western-inspired restaurant that features locally sourced seasonal ingredients🍝 They specialise in fruit parfaits (their menu includes two variations per month), and are located just five minutes walk from the train station near the historic “Komachi-Dori” street🍓

I opted for their July special, the “Peach & Tomato Parfait” which consisted of the ingredients listed below🍅 Their terrace seats are dog-friendly, so I hope to visit with @qoothepomchi once the temperatures cool down🧊 Their irregular business schedule is posted on @lelia_parfait’s Instagram page - note that they only accept cash, so make sure to visit the ATM beforehand!💴

“Pono Market” in Kapaa, Kauai, is a casual deli (open on weekdays from 6AM to 2PM) that offers an unassuming yet authentic taste of Hawaiian cuisine and island life🌺 This laid-back spot has been a local favourite for years, and their freshly prepared poke is particularly popular🤙 The standard dish for us was the “Spicy Ahi Poke Bowl”, consisting of ahi tuna marinated in a house-made spicy sauce over a bed of rice, delivering a perfect balance of heat and flavour🍚

Originally from Bangkok, “After You Desert Cafe” was founded in 2007 and now has over 30 branches🇹🇭 They opened its first overseas branch in Hong Kong in February 2022 in Causeway Bay, then relocated to Wan Chai’s Lee Tung Avenue in September 2023🚚 Their signature dish, the “Mango Sticky Rice Kakigori” is a must order for first-timers, served with coconut milk cream, fresh mango pieces and mango sauce🥭 There’s a little surprise when you dig in further, but I’ll keep my mouth shut🤫

Located on the 1st floor of @pacificplacehk, “Cô Thành” is a Vietnamese restaurant most renowned for their Phở and Bánh Mì🇻🇳 We visited for lunch for their set menu, where you can select Phở, Bún or Bánh Mì as a main, a side dish and a drink🥗 We opted for their signature “Bánh Mì Truyền Thống” served with pork charcuterie, Vietnamese baguette, pâté, mayonnaise, spring onions, cucumbers, pickles, and cilantro, and “Phở Gà” with fragrant local yellow chicken broth, shredded chicken, fritter, fresh herbs, and flat rice noodles🥢

香港の人気モール「Pacific Place（パシフィック・プレイス）」のL1階（実質2階）にあるベトナム料理屋「Cô Thành（コー・タン）」🛍️ ランチにはセットメニューがあり、メイン（フォー、ブン、バインミー）、サイドディッシュ、ドリンクがそれぞれ選べます🥄 初めての訪問だったので、シグネチャーの「Bánh Mì Truyền Thống（ベトナムハムのバインミー）」と「Phở Gà（鶏肉のフォー）」をチョイス✌️ 物価が高いからか2名のお会計が1万円でびっくりしました🙊
