There’s something irresistibly comforting about a perfect 𝗕𝗮𝘀𝗾𝘂𝗲 𝗰𝗵𝗲𝗲𝘀𝗲𝗰𝗮𝗸𝗲 - creamy, caramelised, and just a little nostalgic🥰

We first stumbled upon @lamaritxulondon at the Fine Food Market in @dukeofyorksquare (curated by @partridgesfoods) and have been obsessed ever since🍰

Founded by three Basque sisters - Maria, Almudena, and Lucia - 𝗟𝗮 𝗠𝗮𝗿𝗶𝘁𝘅𝘂 is a heartfelt tribute to their roots in San Sebastián, where this iconic cheesecake was born🇪🇸 The name itself combines “Maria” with the affectionate Basque suffix “-txu”, symbolising warmth and familiarity (pronounced like “chew” - though you’ll never need to with their silky-smooth cheesecake)💛

Each cake is baked in-store with the finest ingredients and, most importantly, love🫶🏼 Whether you pick up a slice or take home a whole cake, every bite feels like a little trip to the Basque Country☀️

We tried both the original 𝗰𝗹𝗮𝘀𝘀𝗶𝗰 𝘀𝗹𝗶𝗰𝗲 and the limited-edition 𝘁𝗶𝗿𝗮𝗺𝗶𝘀𝘂 𝘀𝗹𝗶𝗰𝗲 - each beautifully balanced and absolutely divine💯 The perfect treat for a cosy afternoon in London🫖

You can find them at Connaught Village or Kingly Court, or catch them at weekend markets - but be warned: once you’ve tried it, there’s no going back🙈

初めて出会ったのは、チェルシーの Duke of York Square で開催されているオープンエアマーケット🎪

お店を手がけるのは、バスク出身の3姉妹👯‍♀️ サン・セバスチャンの伝統的なレシピをもとに、毎日店内で一つ一つ丁寧に焼き上げています❤️‍🔥

今回は、定番の「オリジナル」と限定フレーバーの「ティラミス」を頂きました☕️ どちらも濃厚でとろける口どけ、バランスの取れた味わいが絶品💞 ロンドンを訪れる際には必ず立ち寄りたいお店です🤭
