Some casual drinking wines with yakiniku. We started with the 2013 Leflaive Meursault 1er, which showed some advanced flavours but ripe fruit, macerated white flowers and oak dominant. Coche reds are always a bit of a mix bag.. if I'm not mistaken, the final vintage that Coche released for this wine.. not sure what happened to it after though. Nishiazabu Yakiniku Ten 焼肉X 1st visit — a high end wagyu restaurant specializing in beef tongue. Private rooms only, good service and decent wine list. The freshly made sesame oil was a nice touch, and it was interesting to taste 4 different cuts of Tajima beef tongue, grilled and shabu shabu. A bit price but worth a try. •
