- Peter Chang added a new meal Birthday dinner at The 8 at The Eight
First time back here for dinner in 4 years. Chef Albert Au created a menu for the two of us, and this was fantastic. The execution on quite a few of the dishes were pretty amazing, which is why they've had 3 stars for more than 10 years.

After many years of visiting this place, one of my favorite restaurants in Hong Kong, now comes a meal where I felt the restaurant deserves to be promoted to 3 stars.
Not only are the flavors beautiful, but the presentation has now gone up a level. Some of the dishes are quite stunning.

Slightly upscale Portuguese restaurant managed by the chef from Bel Canto in Lisbon. Pretty nice and tasty.

- Peter Chang added a new meal First dinner at Baan Tepa at Baan Tepa
First visit to this pretty, luxurious home which was turned into a "culinary space" with a garden out back. I guess one can see some shade of Dan Barber here.
Reasonably tasting dinner, with the squid ink noodles being a real standout dish, as was the khao mok. Hated the prawn fat that came with the river prawn and did not finish the dish.

So happy to be back at Baan Ice, and this new branch serves almost the same dishes as anywhere else. Simple and honest food. You don't need to go to Sorn. Just come here.

- Peter Chang added a new meal Dinner at Gaggan Anand at Gaggan
Finally I had the chance to come and visit Gaggan's "new" restaurant after the old one closed in 2019.
Gone are the emojis. Now the dinner comes in 2 acts with smaller bites in Act 1. Not bad at all, but the story telling sometimes gets a little long.

- Peter Chang added a new meal Very salty dinner at Haoma at Haoma
Have long heard about this place for its creative Indian fare, and now the place is famous for its "sustainability".
Well... way, way too much salt in the food, and maybe MSG, too. All of us had to reach for water the whole night. The place is so focused on telling the sustainability story that the chef forgot that his first priority is to deliver... More

- Peter Chang added a new meal Dinner at Sun Tung Lok with Gerhard at Sun Tung Lok with Gerhard Huber and Tomoko Morikawa
The final dinner with Gerhard and Tomo-chan. Got a big group together for a proper Cantonese meal. Unfortunately the chef did not deliver on some of the dishes, but the stuffed pig was still very good, even if not at its best.
