Brilliant cooking at @luca.fantin’s Il Ristorante in Ginza. Also, who knew Japan had such good domestic live oil?

- Justin Hurst added a new meal Dinner at QUAND L'APPETIT VA TOUT VA at Quand l’appétit va tout va
An excellent neo-bistro dinner at @azabu_quand_lappetit Reservation essential for this hidden gem on the fourth floor. Super fortunate that it’s a short walk from home - I look forward to becoming a regular.

- Justin Hurst added a new meal Dinner at 真由膳 at Mayuzen
A meal I didn’t been realize I was craving, until I ate it. A perfect cross between gentle Kyoto fine dining and elevated home cooking, in an easy, comfortable environment. Delicious flavors, great saké, and the warmest of welcomes. Highly recommend @mayuzen_nishiazabu.

One of the hardest things to leave in Seattle was my weekly tradition of Sunday at Spinasse. And while nothing will ever come close to replacing the great friends and delicious food over the many years, it was a tremendous pleasure to discover authentic Piedmontese food and wine at Ostü in Tokyo. - Justin Hurst added a new meal Dinner at 神楽坂石かわ at Kagurazaka Ishikawa
Truly one of the world’s greatest restaurants. Of my five visits - this was perhaps the most memorable — which is saying something. It’s a pleasure to see that even at the top of the craft, Ishikawa-san is still pushing to do better.

- Justin Hurst added a new meal Dinner at 鮨 猪股 at Sushi Inomata
I don’t often post sushi, and certainly not nigiri (too time sensitive), but this was too good not to share. A few of the more unique pieces at Sushi Inomata. It’s a long way from central Tokyo, but his specialty in premium ingredients and prolonged aging is worth your time. Highly recommended. ありがとうございます、@sushi_inomata... More

- Justin Hurst added a new meal Dinner at Restaurant Anis at Anis
Wonderful to make it back to @susumu0shimizu’s Restaurant Anis in Tokyo. No menu, just show up and eat a delicious multi course meal built around local meat and outstanding vegetables. Notable wine list, particularly some Japanese gems like the one pictured here.

My first meal at @yakitoriimai as a resident of Tokyo. Finally. Raided their cellar :)
