Yakitori Imai, my favorite “welcome back to Tokyo” tradition, rocked my mouth again tonight. Early season bamboo shoots, signature fruit tomato, liver paste on baguette, and many more — all chased down with some epic Champagne. I only wish my Japanese was better so I could converse more, though they try their best and go above and beyond to take care of me. @yakitoriimai is a master, and his restaurant is a must-go.
