Shokudou Miyazaki, Kyoto. An excellent meal that’s hard to classify. Informal, lively atmosphere belies the seriously delicious cooking. Watching the young staff cook, joke, sling highballs, and generally have a good time was a delight. And wow, that karaage lives up to the hype. Go if you can get in.
