@trattoriadame - one of the few trattorias open on Sunday nights. Food was just okay and came out suspiciously fast.

Satisfied my pasta cravings at the Il Caffè by @nikoromito at @bvlgarihotels in Rome! The all-day restaurant has a relaxing atmosphere in both its indoor and outdoor areas. The menu offers a wide variety of options from traditional Roman dishes to “Bomba” sandwiches - Chef Niko’s take on an authentic Italian street food. We had to try the classic Roman pastas such as the Cacio e Pepe and Amatriciana of course, but it was the Vongole with Tagliolini that stole our hearts - one of the best I’ve ever had! Breakfast for hotel guests is also served here - everything from the bread to the eggs were of high quality. I especially loved the delish “Maritozzo” bun with whipped cream!

Finally made it to @amerigo1934! A charming unassuming trattoria located 45 minutes from Bologna, the restaurant has been serving traditional cuisine of the region since 80 years ago. They’re best known for for their classic tagliatelle in ragu and tortellini in broth, but new creations have been added over time such as the popular whipped “Amerigo” egg with green asparagus. Don’t miss the egg yolk gelato and my favorite - milk gelato with balsamic vinegar!
The restaurant also runs a locanda nearby with 5 rooms in an old stone building. The rooms are simple and rustic, but full of character. We stayed in room #3 which was where wood was once stored in the house. A sweet Italian breakfast spread was also included in the stay!

A brilliant lunch at 2* @leclarenceparis with ingenious combinations and flavor profiles from around the world! We had the Le Clarence menu in 4 sequences with each sequence accompanied by a myriad of satellite plates. Highlights included the zucchini flower tempura with squid ink, clams in white wine sauce, turbot with sweetbread & lime beurre blanc, smoked eel with veal tripe, quail, chocolate soufflé tart with coffee ice cream, and of course Chef @pele.christophe’s signature almond dacquoise. Definitely one of the best meals we’ve had so far this year!
