This is where it’s at. The most incredible, flavoursome and juicy tandoori chicken in town. It’s been a favourite of my dad’s for many years and has been growing in popularity because of how simple and delicious the food is here. The restaurant is famous for its Chooza chicken - a loved chicken recipe from Nairobi that blends together Kenyan and Indian spices. The Chooza spring chicken is spatchcocked and scored all over before being marinated in a blend of ingredients that includes yogurt, Kashmiri chilli’s, garlic, ginger, coriander and mustard oil amongst lots of other secret spices. Marination here is at-least 24h so that the flavours seep all the way down to the bone. The result is a deep red colour that is beautifully smoked and charred in the clay tandoor. The flavours are incredible, it’s so unique and you won’t taste anything quite like it - it’s spicy, tangy, and well balanced. Mouthwatering chicken. Everything develops in intensity after it hits the grill. Extra Chooza sauce on the side is essential for the rice. IMO, the tandoori chicken legs here are the co-star of the show, so make sure you order them. Super juicy . Lamb chops are also excellent, as is the paneer tikka and the masala fries. Usually I’ll do half a Chooza and 3 chicken legs plus a few chops. Nothing like a Hashmi session.. #notoriousfoodie 🙅🏽♂️

Been meaning to come back here for the longest time. Think I first visited around 2 years ago and loved what they were doing in the kitchen. Glad to say it’s as good as I remembered it to be! A proper pub serving really tasty food. The Dexter cheeseburger is of course one of their biggest hits. It’s the perfect middle ground between a regular cheeseburger and a smash. The patties are pressed just enough to get a lovely crust but not all the way down to a crisp. The result is a much juicer bite of beef, topped with melted American, thick pickles, diced onion, crispy onions and a mouth-coating burger sauce. All of this between two thoroughly toasted brioche buns. It’s a hell of a burger, ticking so many boxes - unctuous, beefy and satisfying. A little more salt needed for me but it’s seriously good, especially given A) how many of these things are ordered each night and B) how many other plates they are throwing out from that tiny kitchen. The pappardelle with cavolo Nero pesto and pine nuts was beautiful. Thick ribbons of al dente pasta in a deep green, glossy, perfectly emulsified pesto sauce. Had to order a second one of these, was like digging for gold with those toasted pine nuts. Fried pizza with marinara and anchovies was delicious too. The blackened chipolatas with mustard may sound simple but they’re too difficult to resist. Nothing better than a charred chipolata and spicy English mustard on the side. It’s a no BS pub with great food. Worth the visit! #notoriousfoodie 🙅🏽♂️ Less

Sunday sessions at Dorian are the best - it’s when Max and the team freestyle a little and you can find all sorts of specials and magic on the menu here. Of course, the steak takes pride of place on the table - charred over charcoal and lathered in clarified butter and beef jus. It’s the ultimate plate of beef. The T-bone was exceptional - perfectly pink and well rested with a lovely Smokey crust and intense dry-aged flavour. Caviar rosti’s because I’m a sucker for those perfect dollops of @n25caviar and that hash brown-esque, crispy potato base. The lobster tail salad with grilled sweetcorn kohlrabi was incredible - lots of saffron and a super savoury flavour profile with tender, sweet lobster tail cooked on the grill. The lamb ribs are a new favourite of mine, hadn’t had these before. Ultra soft and pull-apart tender. Served with shiso relish and greenage and glazed in a sticky lamb sauce. Always love the vibe here, it’s just got a very different kind of buzz. Great food , great people!! #notoriousfoodie 🙅🏽♂️

It’s quite nice just hitting the sushi counter at Niju, watching @david.sushi.london and his team prepare all of the nigiri and sashimi in front of you. There’s only a handful of seats and it’s on a walk-in only basis, so pretty casual, but the quality of fish here is hard to beat in London. They do both classic and ‘Niju-style’ nigiri, the latter of which they play with a few more ingredients and have lots of aburi-style nigiri. Had some incredible tuna and scallop nigiri this evening. The torched scallop with butter, sichimi and soy was incredibly soft and smokey - melted in the mouth with the luke-warm grains of shari. Also loved the Icelandic uni gunkan - the urchins just came in and were looking vibrant as ever. Very umami and not so sweet but really fresh and creamy. Hamachi with ponzu jelly really good too. They came round with the days selection of Wagyu beef too but I was very much on a sushi vibe so had a look and continued hitting the nigiri! #notoriousfoodie 🙅🏽♂️
