25 courses, 11 seats and 1 Michelin star. Sushi Takamitsu is an intimate omakase restaurant set on the quiet backstreets of Nakameguro. Yasuda-san specialises in sourcing and using the highest quality fatty tuna and most amazing varieties of uni. A lot of the produce is exclusive to Takamitsu and you simply won’t be able to find it anywhere else. If theres something he wants, he will outbid anyone to get it, just so he can serve it to his customers. He’s one of the largest buyers of uni in Tokyo. The courses are unique and interesting with my favourites being the bafun uni and white truffle rice, the black-throat sea perch and his amazing chutoro. The perch nigiri was insane - grilled, fatty and super tender, it melted like butter and the two types of vinegar in the rice really completed the bite. Yasuda Takamitsu is an incredible sushi chef. Knife work was wild. The LV luggage he is famous for displaying his produce on was a gift from one of his regulars and it takes pride of place on the counter. Lovely evening, great vibe, delicious sushi and a very friendly team. No English. I would go back for sure.. #notoriousfoodie 🙅🏽♂️
