Had to make a stop at Anajak and try some of Justin’s cooking. The restaurant serves a delicious mix of Thai fried chicken, curries, seasonal fish and wok-fired dishes. The wine list here is extensive too, both traditional and vanguard wines. Head chef and owner Justin really creates some magic in that kitchen. The food was bright, fresh and very well seasoned. Each component carefully considered. Loved both the papaya salad and the cucumber and radish with crispy rice. These are must orders that’ll help to cut through the deeply spiced and layered elements of his larger plates. My favourites were definitely the pineapple glazed ribs, fried chicken and the mango sticky rice made by his mum. The ribs were charred, sticky and tender - sweet and moreish, nicely balanced flavour profile. Fried chicken, crispy and well seasoned with a sambal + sweet chilli on the side - the caviar that I ordered as an extra just took this up a few notches more. There’s so much tasty food on the menu it’s a good idea to try a few things from each section. Don’t sleep on their Chinese sausage fried rice - this was sensational. Sweet, super charred and plenty of wok-hei coming through. A solid spot with what must be one of the worlds best mango sticky rice.. #notoriousfoodie 🙅🏽♂️
