What a dinner from the all new Lita in Marylebone. The focus here is on live-fire cooking, with a mix of incredible meat, fish and vegetables each having some sort of lick from the flame. The bone-in ribeye was incredible - perfectly cooked and served with a rich and complex beef jus that was still somehow quite light in consistency. The yellow fat caps were well rendered and melted into the jus beautifully. The star dish here for me has to be that tuna though.. just insane. I ordered three plates of it - @atunrojofuentes bluefin, corno peppers, corriander and capers - honestly incredible. It was so fresh with a real kick of balanced acidity and umami. I did a recipe last year with this tuna, it really is the best! Couldn’t get enough of the dressing. The duck ragout was another stand out - slow cooked and pulled duck leg, in a nicely reduced sauce and al dente strozapretti, topped with a mountain of parm. For wine went with a 2016 Clos Rougeard which was a great match for the beef. A solid new addition to the neighbourhood! #notoriousfoodie 🙅🏽♂️
