One pub, four stories and three dining rooms. The new kid on the block delivered on all fronts. It’s pub food done correctly. The majority of main plates here are centred around their Woodfire grill on the first floor - I’d try and reserve in here if you want to catch the grill action. All three dining rooms share the same menu though. In terms of the food, you’ll find no over-engineering or complicating here - it’s a menu of classics that are well executed. Food you want to eat in a pub that actually hits the mark on flavour. All of the baking and dry-ageing is done in house with a big butchery in the basement. My favourites of the night were the Iberico pork ribs and the bone-in ribeye. The bite sized ribs were so good I ordered three more portions - charred, sticky and beautifully soft. Falling off the bone with nicely rendered fat and a sweet glaze. The 850g ribeye arrived with a lovely crust and perfect medium rare temp. The beef was buttery soft. Good marbling and funky, beefy flavour. Green sauce was the winner for me. Brawn toast didn’t love, not quite my taste but nicely put together. Lamb hotpot, yum. A lovely stewed lamb filling with carrots, onions and nice lamb jus with crispy scalloped potatoes on the top. Sticky toffee for dessert is essential - top tier. Place is heaving, good vibes will be back for sure - a lot more to try #notoriousfoodie 🙅🏽‍♂️
