I love vongole.. and an excellent vongole this was. Went for dinner at the newish Italian spot in Chicago and had some very tasty plates. The spaghetti alle vongle was the highlight for me - al dente, chewy spaghetti, a well emulsified and luscious clam sauce with plenty of parsley, garlic and flecks of peperoncino. A taste of the ocean with the most moreish flavours. The Pici Cacio e Pepe equally as delicious, a touch on the over cooked side but still so enjoyable to eat - the sauce was nice and cohesive, peppery and full of pecorino romano. Branzino alla brace was knockout. Fire grilled Adriatic Sea bass, served with violetta artichokes and a fennel salad. So much flavour on this. Crispy skin, flaky fish and a fresh, crunchy salad on the side. Everything you want on a plate - fresh, tasty and nicely presented. It’s a stunning dining room - a really nice place to eat. Go here and save space for tiramisu. Only fault was the waiter not writing down the order which meant missing dishes..
