maiBeck FÜR DICH is a German restaurant, near the center of Koln, along the Rhein close to the cathedral.
We found it via the Michelin app where it showed us the the fairly cheap Michelin restaurant. Looking for lunch, we were a walk in this day. It seems like luck that day, since we have been to cologne 3 times after this visit and the restaurant have been fully booked each time since then.
Foodwise maiBeck FÜR DICH have an Italian inspiration on German cuisine. There were pasta dishes, which was very nice. Else it was high level simple food.
Interior it was white wood and minimalism.
The bread was fresh and good. The waiters was good and generally the food was a nice experience. This day we did not have the chance to taste any pairing of either wine nor beer.
We have tried to book after this experince, if we come to cologne we will try again.

We found ourselves with no children for a full week and wanted to taste the Copenhagen kitchen scene. Lola was at the time a fairly new restaurant and praised in local media, so we got a table with limited time.
Lola is a restaurant with some remarkable forces behind it. Kamilla Seidler who started the restaurant have been awarded best chef in the world for the Latin world in 2016 for the Bolivian restaurant she opened with Claus Meyer.
We had a seating outside in the yard in the beginning and then inside. A very pleasant place, more colorful than your average Copenhagen restaurants.
The food was very delightful and very excellent, the tastes and dining type is very south American and Indian types and the wines was very natural types.
We had a very short meal, so we wanted to try again, and we will come back no doubt. (actually tomorrow from when I wrote this review)

Harwood Arms is a gastro-pub. It’s situated in a quiet (and a bit boring) part of the London called Walham Green. There is a lot of city-houses around the pub, and not much else.
From the outside it looks like a pub, and from the inside it looks like a pub. But it’s a Michelin star rewarded restaurant. I ate there two days in a row in January of 2014. First time after conducting a conference in the London office with people from all of Europe and from most of the London office. And it was very good. Like excellent good. They focus on British produce with focus on wild and game. When you say the British kitchen, you get a negative connotation, mostly pale food. But not at the Harwoord Arms, it meat, potatoes and greens. But made appetizing.
The menu that day made me get a couple of pints rather then wine.
I ate there the following day with a smaller group, I think we were lucky to be able to be so many people there, since I tried a number of times to come back, only succeeding some years after.
Will come back, informal but high regarded food, ideal pub experience.

I had my family at the Harwood arms, and invited the extended London family for a dinner here as well. No problem with the kids, we were in the more informal part – the pub and it was greate. Once again, very good food, focus on game and I had a scotch egg and some fish. I have still to understand the scotch egg, I like the idea of it, but when I eat it I get disappointed.
Again – this restaurant is a bit out of the way, it looks like a pub, and it is, just with a very high level of food (it got a Michelin star) and good beer and wine. Worth the visit if you can get a table.
I eat there the day before and game again some years after. Will go again.

Kokkeriet.
So far I have eaten at Kokkeriet 3 times, once with my wife, once with a large amount of people work related, and this time we were a handful of important shareholders in a project.
Kokkeriet have had hold a Michelin star since 2009. (they had one in 2006 and lost it again In 2007, only to regain it in 2009) It’s a classic white tablecloth fine dining experience. The food is modern new Nordicish inspired. And let’s be honest, it’s a fairly cheap place.
The wine pairing is classical old-world tastes with the odd Canadian or danish wine (that seems more for show rather then anything else) – its more sweeter then usual.
The food is fine presentations also with a sweet element to it.
This day we were situated in the center of the restaurant, good service.
I have been here before, and I will return, maybe mostly with business relations, its impressive place to eat, the food and drink is good but not great.

Le Plat du Jour
We were in Hamburg on our way home from a 3-week summer vacation. We need somewhere to eat after our train travel and check in to the hotel. The Michelin App said that Le Plat du Jour was a bib gourmand. We took it up on the word. It was French bistro food and I honestly cannot remember what we had, besides the beer and a dessert of pancakes with ice cream. It was placed in a kind of boring part of town, surrounded by office buildings and a bit off the center of town.

Kagges
A walk in with an (now old) colleague from a conference in Stockholm
Kagges is in the old city of Stockholm and in a quite nice area. It’s a small restaurant, with a bit cramped but very lively place.
We had the set menu with wine, we had a very short time, since the seatings was used later, but it was okay.
Kagges was very much a bib gourmand place, affordable luxury. Not tweezers food, but very nice local produce and modern eating. I also had a very old world normal winelistng (as I remember). I actually wanted to back same week, but that was not possible due to filled restaurant.
If I am back in Stokcholm this place would be a place to go.
