I was told that the sea urchin from Ehime is delicious, so I visited again. The quality remains exceptional. The sea urchin was outstanding.I appreciated the thoughtful gesture of being offered another plate when I mentioned how delicious it was.The distinction between white and red rice, and the texture of the sushi rice, were remarkable. This is definitely one of my favorite sushi restaurants. I will be back!

I used to have a dislike for raw fish, but this place completely changed my perspective—it was truly delicious. I visited to celebrate a friend's birthday, who also has some reservations about certain sushi toppings, but they were pleasantly surprised to find that they enjoyed everything. The chef had a bit of a stern look, but he was friendly and helped ease our nerves. We were thrilled to watch his knife skills up close. On the day of our visit, we were the only customers, allowing us to enjoy a course meal while chatting with the friendly chef. The dinner course included a starter of mozuku seaweed, followed by a miso soup, a tamagoyaki (Japanese omelet), and 12 pieces of sushi. My personal favorites were the kohada (gizzard shad), tuna, aji (horse mackerel), and uni (sea urchin). The kohada was incredibly sweet with a delightful texture. The bright and cheerful chef serves a variety of sushi that offers great value for the price, making for a satisfying experience. Everything was delicious, but the spring sea bream nigiri was exceptionally tender and melted in my mouth. The large size of the nigiri was a standout feature. Personally, I loved the flavor of the rice. I definitely want to visit again.

I visited in the evening this time. The grilled mackerel was my first experience, and it was fluffy and delicious. The sea urchin, which the chef had sourced in large quantities, was sweet and delightful. The cube-shaped dish used every part of the sweetfish, and it paired perfectly with the Japanese sake.

This was my first visit, and I came for the sushi-only lunch. It’s a sushi restaurant located in Matsuyama.Wow, I’m amazed! To have this level of quality for under JPY 10,000 is incredible. The way they prepared the horse mackerel and sardines, along with the sushi technique, was exactly to my taste. I was also impressed by how they used different types of rice—white and red—depending on the topping. It was absolutely delicious. I definitely need to come back for dinner as well.- Iwasui Unagi...
